Teachers participating in a HEART workshop — what did they learn?

Education plays an important role in transmitting intangible heritage. For this reason we decided to invite teachers to the piloting activity. What the HEART project experience meant for them we learn from this material. 

The cultural heritage of Saxons a source of inspiration for Amalia and Alina

Amalia and Alina are psychologists by profession. For them heritage education can be a tool in counselling and career guidance of students, in school therapy.

Exploring the Saxon heritage through the eyes of two young entrepreneurs

We were happy to have Carina and Iustin Herciu, two young entrepreneurs with a woodworking business, among the participants. Although the tradition of painted Saxon furniture is specific only to Transylvania, our participants enjoyed discovering it during the heritage education workshop.

Teodora learnt the technique of creating Saxon painted furniture

Teodora is a 12th grader in high school. She wanted to participate in this project because she is thinking of continuing her studies in the artistic field. The Erasmus+ experience could help her to better understand this field. 

What the HEART workshop meant for the Limbasan family

In order to enhance the cultural heritage of the Transylvanian Saxons we will need the active involvement of young people. The Limbasan family is an example of this.

Corina's impressions of the HEART workshop

Corina discovered this Saxon tradition with the help of the HEART project. Originally from another ethnographic area of Romania, Corina had the opportunity to learn what the intangible heritage of the Saxons means and how important it is to pass on traditions through education.
